Obama and Immigration

Today, it seem as though the immigration news are to: what, whos and whys are up in the air. According to Obama , on Thursday he said that he would proceed with an overhaul of the immigration system standards for this year. Now if he does, what will it entail? Could he attract a fair amount of Republican support or not? Many of the Republicans say that the immigrtion bill could not go forward due to the President using a legistaive shortcut to be sidestepping the repubilcans to pass his health care bill. As the White House continued to call meetings to show a continued interest in immigration reform and overhaul. This issued has been on the back burner, from last year no less. On March 21/ 2010, a rally of immigrant groups gathered at the Washingtion. These groups have been waiting and want to see the immigration legislation pass this year. A total of no less than 100,000 people max. turned out for this event. Several senators are sponsoring this issue, preparing for this bill to pass.
According to Mr. Graham he stated " in no certaian terms that the immigration debate could come to a halt for the year if the president moved to pass health care legislation by a method known as a reconciliation, which requires a majority of 51 senators instead of 60 and would in practice require no Republican votes".
Since the loss of its supermajority in January, the White House has been laying the groud work for a possible reconciliation. During which in Massachusetts Senate election had no found that they had no support from Republicans. Thursday show that Obama took effort the reconsider Mr. Graham's warning. The prsident had a separate meeting with immigrant advocate, labor leaders, Roman Chatholics, and evengelical Christian leaders for support of te overhaul so that this move will give millions of illegal immigrants legal staus.

End Dragging Reform on Immigration

It seems that today's immigration reform is serious  lacking depth, many people are not happy with the way these and many other policies are be handed. NOw that the debate is back on the table, we would like to see if anything is finally going to be handle, accepted, or rejected. With the division of say in this matter, noo one is sure which party will be on top. Republicans are ussually demand for programs, as in the worker program . With the economy not doing great, our national unemployment rate is at a outstanding 97.7%. This is not good regardless how the debate is proceeding.
Many of the toughest issues that we as a whole nation, we must stand our grounds and speak up. Who will speak up, if we do not? A good tens of thousands have march to the steps of the white house demanding that presedent Obama keep the promises that he gave during his campaign march, comprhensive immigration reform that is and will work for the people.
Many of the activists are tried of waiting with this dilly-dallying by the administration and are excepting, no let me reprase that..that the fact is that the immigration only merits a measily 37 words in the State of Union address. THe sepecation by some that Obama may intend to follow up on the health care reform with some focus on jobs and education. And what immigration goes on the back burner for yet a second meybe term?
As a event enfoleded the anti-Obama protest on the white house lawn left a bad taste with the Preident that days prior this event, Obama had just announced his support  for the comprensive immigration reform bill that was scheduled to be reveiled by a few of the senate leaders. This sure puts eggs on many faces with this news. This legislation will try to accomplish many goals in which it is meant to help with many of the immigration issuis such as, slow down the migration of illegals, controll the borders, the systems of employee verification, the requiring of those immigratns that are illegal to become legal. keep families of immigrants together a priority, and encourage those who are high-skilled immigrants to come to this country, as well to discourage the use of temporary guest work visas and make it easier for people to come here legally.

The Cruelty of Cock Fighting and Dog Fights

Cock fighting is a cruel sport the involves roosters fighting each other to see who is the last one standing. Just as is in dog fighting, where dogs fight to their deaths. This a epidemic that needed to be stopped. There is a much-needed legislator that protects animals in this gruesome activity. This a cruel crime that needs to be elevated from a misdemeanor to a felony. There is hope that the House of Judiciary Committee will take this seriously and refused to be pushes aside from passing a bill in the interests of cockfighting, which may sway some of the members of the General Assembly.
In doing so, many animals will be spared of this future of grim entertainment for the enjoyment of others. I hope the in future laws that are passed innocent animals will protected to greater degree than they are now.

Sea World Killer

Sunday news came to a shocking suprise, as I was reading I was amazed on how the primitive instinct comes out. I don't think the trainers know or have ample knowledge to caring for wild creatures no matter how much training they believe they have.
Even sea animals have a primitive streak that humans forget they have. It is unfortunate that a person lost his life to this tragedy. Killing these creatures simpliy because they are behaving to their nateral instincts is a crime in itself. We are the ones who need a reality check, for we also go and behave to our natural instincts.

Happy Trails

Kentucky is known for it's love for horses and how graceful they are. I was reading the sunday paper yesterday and came across an aritical about ..you guessed it- horses!! It was charming in its simplicity.  I was amazed on how much we take for granted, in it whole grand of schemes, but it left me with some concerns as to what  I was reading ,to what I was reading . That we may be the horse capital state, but we view horses as a commodity... buying and selling for profit. Do you that know most horses ranches don't really  ride their horses, but view them as potential income? I was so suprised at to what I was reading, that it got me thinking on how horses are truely valued.. as a creature of life. So I have come to a solution to this cause, respect these graceful animals, enjoy the view, and never take them for granted.

Dreamland for Pets

We love a good night's sleep, but what about our pets? Do they sleep well? According to the Mayo Clinic's Center for Sleep Medicine, they had been research on the matter in question and found that many for their patients at the clinic share their bedrooms and beds with their pets . The doctors have stated  recommended booting the pets out of the bedrooms/beds. But pet-lovers don't like the idea of being cruel to their pets. Have you pets checked for parasites like fleas and ticks, also bacteria and yeast infections.
This causes all sorts of discomforts in the middle of the night. Also check for dust-mites allergies, its common for pets and owners alike. If your pets sleep in bed with, wash your linens frequently Pets who sleep all day will want to play all night, try to get them to sleep on the same cycle that you are on. It will make it easier on the both of you. If it doesn't work ,well I guess poochie will have to sleep outside of the bedroom.
